3. There is a commercial for CVS

showing in my area now that has a huge W being flown by helicopter to a construction site. The message is supposed to be "no waiting", but it seems to have a diabolical subliminal quality to me.

I won't set foot in our local CVS from now on, it's Walgreens or nothing.

18. You know what's really creepy?
People who get all icky over benign symbols, and Gawd help us, initials from the English alphabet. THAT's really creepy.

22. Symbolism is more powerful than you realize...
Symbolism is used in corporate America as a means of fast identification. You see golden arches and you think "Big Mac."

The danger of symbolism is in its subliminal nature. You don't even know you've been taken in by it, unless someone else points it out to you.

In our culture, "W" is most definitely NOT benign - it is a symbol of a malignant, cancerous growth of hate and self-righteousness. (Unless, of course, you live in Wisconsin, and it represents the Badgers.)

6. Their whole fixation on symbols has me worried
From the "W" to the EIB symbol
Lush Rimbaugh uses for his show.

It reeks of the mystic symbol worship of the Nazis. You know they created the Olympic Symbol in 1936, to make the Olympics seem more ancient and mystical.

It all seems to fit together somehow.

11. Are those back to back Bs?
God! Their insanity has to be stopped. Unfortunately, I'm afraid that even if/when Kerry takes office, these madmen will still be working behind the scenes somewhere, planning on taking power again.

24. Haha, get this
He said something like "Good thing this country has too much sense to elect Kerry with the popular vote - his only chance is in the electoral college."

(It was less coherent than that, of course, but I couldn't believe the stupidity - even for a Bushbot - of saying that!)
