The admin is too chicken to admit that they want to keep a lid on US casualties before the election..

The "spin" is that the "Brit soldiers are EXPERT at house to house , inner city combat, because of all the years they fought the IRA"..

Gee , why not just fan THOSE old embers while we are at it ?? :grr:

1. I saw the debate in parliment on cspan yesterday morning
A rep from Labor party said "You are just giving bush life support in his reelection"He said that to use uk troops for bush`s folly was treason. There was only two people that supported it.Blair and his defense sec.The back benches were furious.

2. Furious, sure, but just like with our gov't, it's all for show. Nothing
ever happens as a result of all this outrage. It's just theater.

3. Good Point
According to the Battle Honours for the Regiment, The Black Watch has never served in Northern Ireland, and it's the Black Watch that's being sent as cannon fodder.

So I don't think that these particular "Brit" soldiers are any more expert at house to house or inner city combat then soldiers from the 1st ID.

By the way the Black Watch is mainly still a Scots unit, while it may have some Sassenachs, it's traditions are still Scottish.

4. Tony the Poodle just decided to sacrifice British citizens
in an effort to keep Smirk in office, in a war which will be LOST.

I'm still amazed the Brits continue to put up with this!!! WTF is going on. They aren't NEARLY as stupid as Americans are.

What gives?
