BBV: Electronic "Poll Books" Are A Big Problem |
|
While there have not been a lot of problems reported on e-voting machines themselves, we are hearing a lot of problems with the "poll books" that are being used for early voting. These computerized "poll books" are simply a laptop located at the polling place and connected via the internet or phone lines to a central computer. This system is failing and causing long lines and irate voters.
The following counties have reported problems so far:
Florida - Palm Beach, Broward, Orange, Pinellas, Hillsborough Texas - Bexar and Tarrant Colorado - City of Denver Tennessee - Shelby
Next week there will be more states joining the early voting craze including Georgia. Some, if not all, of these states will be using this same process.

3. Another verification headache |
|
Hope they are keeping the paper poll books you sign in on.
Completely computerized?
Just go through at the end of the day and find out who is registered but hasn't voted- and vote for them.
