Just because Laura stayed home

doesn't mean she raised her kids. I'd like to know how much hands on parenting Laura has really done, because her girls have turned out to be a bit of a disappointment?

Almost everyone I've ever meet from Laura's social class, hire live in nannies and mother's helpers to raise their children. In HS I did this for a living, so I have the inside POV on this. Often mom is too busy for her own kids because she's off playing tennis at the club, working out at the gym or getting a facial. A lot of these kids are more for show, to be brought out at parties and then returned to their rooms, when their parents are done playing parents.

So when Laura or Karen go on about what hard work being a mother really is, don't be fooled, neither one probably has a clue.

I doubt very much that she did not have a nanny, some poor Mexican woman, "in" to take care of those twins. Her MIL had hired help--never had to cook or clean or get up in the middle of the night when a newborn baby cries-with all that money, it is reasonable to assume she also had "hired help".
