Kerry endorsements that should make Bush* supporters think... |
|
I took the time to read a few of the Republican endorsements of Kerry. They see that Bush* and his group have hijacked the party.
They speak of a secret government, the division of America, the loss of America's surplus, and the threat to Medicare and Social Security.
I wonder if I would have the courage to vote against my party if it was taken over by thugs. Since 1968 I've always voted progressive. I assume that these Republican officials must have voted with their party for a long time. They have to really be worried to make such a public statement.

1. umm, not to crap on your thread, but |

"Bush* supporters think" is a logical impossibility.
Still, one would think that the host of defections with their consistent stories of incompetence and corruption and the notable individuals AND conservative newspapers that have endorsed Kerry should be carrying more weight than it seems to be.

I'd have been working my ass off for the Republican candidate in 2000.
When I was growing up, Republicans were for limited government, fiscal responsibility, and against foreign entanglements.....polar opposite of the juanta currently running things in Washington today.
Really, the criminals who run the Republican Party today are motivated not by governing prinicples but furthering a narrow agenda based purely on economic motives. Can you think of any law or program that Republicans have passed recently that have furthered the public good? I can't.

His idea to help Social Security is to have the young put their money at risk. What safety net do these kids have when their Social Security savings becomes worthless when the pro market players take their money?
