Software/ Piracy issue should be come moot
It should just be - pay $10 a month and you get everything that exists. Same goes for all digital content. The ones that you consume get a proportionate amount of your money.

1. Careful with that hammer, sir
This is a direction Micro$oft has stated previously that it intends to take. They would like you to eventually pay a subscription for the use of their operating system.

A MUCH more feasible idea would be to insert operatives into all major software firm for the sole purpose of public distribution of the source code. Once THAT gets out, it doesn't get put back.

I will never buy a car with the hood welded shut- I should not have to do so with my computer. Given that Micro$oft Window$ forms the base of personal and governmental computing in this country, the Windows source code should be declared a national asset and, quite literally, TAKEN from Micro$oft for all time.

Micro$oft Window$ should not be a commercial product. Too many of our public resources depend upon that OS for it to be anything other than a matter of national security.

Gates is rich enough. It's time for public ownership of Micro$oft Window$.
