Are these stories going to stay buried even after the election?

On a few occasions, I have seen heads-up messages posted here about something that was in the works and we were going to see the story unfold in the following days. I missed the connections, which stories were these linked to:

Last week someone was psyching us up by saying something big was going to happen on Oct 20. An October Surprise. Today is Oct 22; what happened Wednesday? Which of the day's events was it?

Last Summer, Josh Marshall was talking about tectonic plates. What was that story leading up to? What was about to happen? I want to connect the story with the hint.

Are there any other anticipatory posts that have an answer, but I missed them?

Other things for which I want to know the answers: (Will we get to know about these even after the election or will they be classified?)

When Fitzgerald took over the Plame investigation, wasn't he supposed to put out a report before the election? Weren't we supposed to know something on that by now? Is someone dragging their feet?

There are others, like Yellowcake forgeries report that has been finished but not released.

The CIA 9/11 investigation. Will we ever know about that?
