EVENING NEWS with Tom Brokaw.
Is it just me or has coverage of events in Iraq dropped significantly on this news program? Even on days when I know that there has been another bombing in Iraq and more troops killed it seems that it doesn't get reported on the Evening News with Tom Brokaw. I have to switch over to Dan Rather or wait for the BBC News to get a real sense of what happened over in Iraq on a particular day. Or it could just be me.

3. Oh.
So that's what they're doing, because God knows they don't seem to be focusing on events in Iraq anymore.

4. GE Corp sells missiles to the government.
And jet engines and lots of other stuff. More money in that than having a professional news outlet. The media branch of the corporation has become a support for the military branch. NBC News is a proto-fascist propaganda outlet.

I think CBS and ABC still have some independence. Of course, BBC is superior to any reporting from the US.

5. Aaron Brown usually gives an update report and commentary and
photos regarding the war. He also honors each soldier killed. I can't look when he does this...too upsetting to hear about, but I'm glad that he honors them. He's the only one! That's why I get so annoyed when people bad mouth him.

6. According to Brokaw "We own that country"...
so it would make sense that he'd avoid the issue.

7. He said that?!?!
Did he mean "own" it as in "we rule it" or as in "we broke it, so..."??

8. When the war first started he made a comment...
"we're going to own that country..." in regard to the superior fire power of the US. and that we'd be able to control the place.

He's a dick.
