I think people on the college repuke and mayoral level truly believe the low taxes, peace through strength bullshit. I bet only a handful of Senators, the WH, and people in DeLay's inner circle truly, consciously know their intent to undo the New Deal by purposely running up deficits so they can later say "see, we told you government doesn't work."

And, I would agree that people on the lower levels of the Party probably believe in everything they say they do.

But, if they believe in things like that and still proudly vote for Republicans, then they are possibly the stupidest people on the planet.
