9. If Bushies pull a preemptive strike against Iran it will lose the election

for them.

Already the majority of Americans think that the Iraq war was a mistake. They feel that Bush does not have an exit strategy or a plan to win the peace. If he goes after another country which is not an immanent threat, and widens the war only a minority of voters will support it.

I just can't see them doing such a reckless act to stay in power without knowing what it will do to the security of this country.

If they do it will be looked on by the rest of the world as a war crime.
