These people go too far!!
I'm sorry if I am posting in the wrong forum. I am absolutely seething right now. I'm on a local bulletin board here in my town and I post mainly politics trying to dispel all the freaking lies these morans post on a daily basis. So the other day I posted the story about the teenager that was threatened at the * rally. Here is the reply I got today. This has pissed me off more than I have been in a long time and trust me, that's a LOT! I'll probably wind up getting banned from that board. Whatever. I am tired of it.

1. Anyone who wonders how Hitler or any other
fascist dictator was able to gain power need only look to the wingnut message boards to discover the answer. Freak Republic is a particularly "good" example.

6. Oh yeah
I know all about that site. The board I am on is just a small board in my hokey little Florida county with 100 or so people on it. What I find most profound is that the Dems try to be polite, answer posts with facts and have the resources to back up what they say. Repugs on the other hand call names, insult people and then quote world nut daily and free republic as credible.

I won't give up though. I believe Florida is crucial in this election and I refuse to let them post crap without calling them on it. I'm not looking to change their minds but if there is one undecided voter reading that message board I am going to make them THINK!

2. You should reply to this.
Ask them if after they come for you, if they will come for them?. Post that saying by the minister, which was posted on DU recently, about first they came for.....

8. Thank you
I had forgotten about that. Just did it. I'll post it here too for anyone else that needs it.

First they came for the Jews

And I did not speak out –

Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for the communists

And I did not speak out –

Because I was not a communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists

And I did not speak out –

Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for me –

And there was no-one left

To speak out for me.

Pastor Niemöller, 1938

3. You might point out that they may have made what could

be considered a terrorist threat under the PATRIOT Act

11. Nah, not if he's a republican.
Republicans can say and do whatever they want, everyone else is fair game.

4. While I am not a lawyer,
I believe this poster has committed a crime: "terroristic threat."

I'd report it.

I would say "you better run along now, your Mommy is calling" .

Or I would not make any comment to him and continue posting. He sounds like a kiddie.
