Why are we in Iraq, this article lays it out in great detail and also....
....gives the background to the whole strategy and where it goes next:

The New U.S.
-British Oil Imperialism
By Norman D. Livergood

<snip>

But the Standard Oil/Bush imperialists don't concern themselves with the threat of China in the Middle East. They have seized control of Iraq's oil and now have their eye on Syria's and Iran's oil as well. We're now in phase two of the war on terrorism: invading countries that Bush says harbor terrorists, with the real intent to seize those countries' energy sources. And since U.S.-British a.k.a. Standard Oil imperialism now--since 9/11--results in the killing of American civilians, we can say that the next phase of the war on terrorism will soon be at a theater near you.

Every thing you could imagine about oil 'REALITY' will fill your head forever. We've been duped for a century! No wonder they think we are stupid. We are. Al least, I am...I was.

5. The revisionism is rather large
This one page has an explanation for every war america has been
involved in since 1910, and it all reads as truth... so i've the
same question. If this is not what should be printed in our history
books, then what is?

6. I'd dispute their interpretation of World War I
For instance, the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal were all neutral in World War I; and if the purpose was for the oil cartels to take over their, and France's, colonies, then they failed spectacularly - the only colonies taken over were Germany's.

The claim that Big Oil was financing the Nazis and Fascists so they could take Soviet and Persian oil is at least a believable motive; but the main page at least doesn't bother with any proof of this, just an assertion.

"the long-time British asset, Ayatollah Khomeni"? That's news to me. Proof?

I can't work out what their view of the oil companies is: is it that Rockefeller's Standard Oil was not really broken up, and that any companies that originated in it are still acting as one company (since the website constantly refers to 'Standard Oil' in the modern era, and claims it is Rockefeller controlled, I suppose that is what they claim)? If so, does it think that BP and Shell are in competition (as the references to the 'British controlled' Ayatollah, or the takeover of south east Asian fields by SO from Shell, seem to say), or in cahoots? And they say that BP and SO merged - but the largest parts of SO (ExxonMobil, ChevronTexaco) are still separate.

A lot of the site seems assertion, without references. Maybe there are good proofs of what they say; it's a big site to go through. I think they ought to try harder to justify their claims, rather than just asking us to trust their word for it.

7. Perhaps it is all of the above. As for proof ...
...I suppose that proof follows acknowledgment. One has to see the problem and establish an hypothesis of possible causes before one seeks the evidence to substantiate it. That is especially true about conspiracies involving political power and abuses of power.

I posted this not because I take the site administers word for everything they claim, but because I know how demanding DUers are about seeking the truth. This is the first article I've seen that gathers together a century of connected events involving BIG OIL that logically suggests why in a country like the United States of America with a 228 year established tradition of democracy would allow a president to take us into a war in Iraq without the support of our traditional allies, the United Nations and totally trumped up evidence. That new DNC commercial with the eagle and the ostrich is a perfect fit IMHO.
