Just came back from a very rich suburb of Minneapolis,
counted 9 (NINE!!!) Kerry signs, and only 8 Bush* signs. Most of the signs out there were only for local candidates. I am simply amazed - I used to live in that suburb, and it is totally Repuke. That's one of the reasons we moved.

And still, NINE Kerry signs!!! (Plus two on cars.)

1. I was going to post on this too...similar circumstance..
...I have in the last few days driven through Edina and Eden Prairie several times.....it seems the lawn sign battle is going to Kerry...in both communities...

it's just that the Bush/Cheney nutjobs have four to six signs in one yard, or two or three regular signs with one giant one the size of a garage door as part of what looks like a shrine....at homes overlooking key pieces of real estate, like a monster palace above Minnehaha Creek that has a view of HIghway 100.

whaddya gonna do?

3. I've seen 'em too and I think it's desperation.

Like they think if your signs are bigger you get to vote more. Maybe they feel so threatened by being surrounded by Kerry signs that they have to install these HUUUGE Bush signs. Pfft.

4. Bloomington has me worried.
There are Smirk/Snarl signs everywhere. But maybe it's just along the route I drive to work?

I give 'em the one finger salute when I drive by. Childish, I know, but it's become a reflex.

6. The Rethugs are targeting well-traveled routes for sign placement.
The only Bush/Cheney signs you see in my neighborhood are on the high-traffic streets.
