How Would the Race Be Going Now if Gore Had Run in '04? |
|
Remembering the fact that he was against the war almost from the beginning...
Just curious as to what DUers are thinking these days about our elected President?

I don't believe the war has anything to do with it. The country is polorized, split down the middle. I can't see that changing unless we have a leader who is REALLY a uniter.

2. If you want to unite the country |
|
then you need a third party. Something other than democrat or republican. And this will never happen. The far right wingers will never vote the middle and the far leftwingers will never vote the middle either. There will never be a comprimise. These groups will never give an inch. And the Country will never be united. Elections will always be close.

I don't believe the country will ever be completely united. But I do believe the right candidate who takes populist views on issues important to Americans could win over a big portion of both sides of the aisle.
Could be a republican. Could be a democrat. Could be 3rd party.
