Andy Rooney Is Right.
Look how much money we waste on weapons that we don't even use. Kerry will devote money to our soldiers and fighting a smarter war on terror.

1. I was pleasantly surprised at his observations
hoped he made some people think! god, what if there was a war and no one came?

3. i've always been partial to the idea that any war should be fought:
a) by the political leaders opposing each other, with the choice of weapons to be determined by lot (swords, hand guns, machine pistols, and curare tipped blow darts are the only possibilities)
b) by the generals of opposing armies, with identical tanks, four shells and no computers to guide or aide them
c) both the generals and the political leaders stuck in a virtuosity-styled game, never to escape. They could battle to the death endlessly, then reboot and do it again.

The rest of us could live peaceably and peacefully.

7. Add to the list of mandatory front line participants.....
the fat cat industrialists and various other war merchants who relentlessly call for escalation of the war cries.

5. In fact, Saddam Hussein did not want to come to the war.He offered to
make peace and dismantle any thing Bush wanted dismantled and that was not enough for our warmonger. He was bent on showing his "shock and awe" strategy at the expense of the lives of thousands of Iraqi civilians and 1100 soldiers(and counting). He is a despicable coward of the first order.

6. Millions to destroy bio/chem/nuke weapons
I don't know if he brought that up, but it's just the most outrageous thing to me that we're currently spending millions to destroy weapons that we spent billions to produce; and turning around and doing it all over again. How fucking stupid are we.
