Why do right-wing celebrities bash celebrities getting political?
I mean, the only qualification most right-wing radio hosts have to talk about politics is that they have a face only radio could love.

That or they are criminals.

And the Team America movie, which I found funny, bashing celebrities who get political... that's a political statement from two celebrities who got famous making a cartoon where kids swear.

And what the fuck have most right pundits ever done? Wear a fucking bow tie, or blow some campaign insider for the latest scoop?

Are their irony meter's broken, or are they just shameless hypocrites?

1. "know it all"
Edited on Mon Oct-25-04 02:44 AM by GTRMAN
It seems to me these blowhards are a bunch of "know it all do nothings". They want you to believe they know everything about everything there is to know, but when it comes down to it, most of them have never actually DONE much of anything. They just sit around and run their pie holes and try to pretend they have. If any of them had to go out and do some actual work for a living, it would probably kill them.

3. PLEASE don't flame me.
But I am dying to say this to someone who sees MY side of it. I hear RW people all the time whining about liberal celebs and saying that they're there to entertain and should keep their opinions to themselves. Whenever I hear that, I get a little ticked but on the other hand want to laugh because we might LISTEN to the actors, but they ELECT them...

Arnold S (can't spell his name)
Gopher from Love Boat
Sonny Bono
Fred Thompson
and, of course, Reagan, who acted his way through two terms

(Did I miss any?)

4. RWingers sure like whining!
But of course, it is a known fact that all actors have the mental capacity of a two year old who's had his brain replaced with circus peanuts... unless, of course, they agree with them.

5. And sports stars
Jack Kemp, Steve Largent, Bunning, JD Hayworth. Yeah, we elected Bill Bradley, but I think that's all. It is weird. You might could add Clint Eastwood to your list, although I'm not entirely sure of his politics.

I had forgotten about Clint Eastwood- I don't know his party either.

7. Clint is conservative but an Independant...
Doesn't like the Repugs or Dems but leans conservative. I read an interview last year in some magazine where he went into it a bit.
