Truth or Arab Propaganda?
Iraq In Brief: Weekend Fighting Rages With Mujahideen Inspired By Ramadan
Oct 25, 2004
By Omar Al-Faris, JUS

Fighting continued to rage between Iraq’s resistance fighters and American occupation forces over the weekend, the Mujahideen inspired by Ramadan, the month of Jihad and Islamic victories. A high ranking diplomat was among the 47 dead and 11 wounded American casualties reported in the last 24 hours. Twelve Iraqis were reportedly also killed, with eight others wounded, while four resistance fighters were martyred and four others were wounded, according to Mafkarat al-Islam’s correspondent.

In addition to the loss of personnel on both sides, a reconnaissance plane was also reported to have been shot down and six jeeps, three armored vehicles, a storage trailer, three other vehicles were destroyed and two jeeps were disabled.

Here are details of a few of the weekend clashes in brief:

On Saturday night, four Americans were reportedly killed and their Bradley vehicle destroyed when Mujahideen targeted their vehicle at 14:15 in Al-Tarmiah area, north of the Iraqi capital. The Bradley was hit with 3 C5K rockets and was set ablaze, with four American soldiers on board killed in the attack.

2. Please restrain yourself
The OP doesn't say that the report is crap because it portrays Iraq as a mess. The report makes some very specific claims , and the OP wants to know if they're true.

You don't think people should believe something merely because they read it somewhere, do you?

To the OP: I suspect you doubt this report because of it claim of 47 AMerican deaths. I suspect that they are referring to Iraqi police or soldiers, who they might report as "American casualties" because some parties see the Iraqi police/army as a US institution.
