Ungaurded explosives: Another LIHOP? |

What possible reason could there be for this problem? Are "those in charge" REALLY this incompetent? OR . . .
Does it serve Rumsfeld's objectives to let Iraqis and various imported trouble makers blow each other up? Thusly demonstrating the necessity of accepting our puppets in the region.

They left nuclear sites, and explosive stockpiles unguarded. There is no excuse for that.
I believe that they thought the use of WMD's in the war would have "justified" our invasion in the eyes of the world. And France pledged to join the fight if they were found, IIRC.
Unfortunatly, Saddam destroyed his WMD's, and we alienated the world and dove headlong into a guerilla war with no end in sight and no help on the way.
