Need help debunking
Edited on Mon Oct-25-04 04:08 PM by Abelman
This is something one of my friends posted. I know much of it is gross exaggeration, or completely not true and I'm actually taking the time to dispute it point by point, though I doubt it will change his mind. And I really don't want to counter with a resume for *, because it would only be a sentence.

Qualifications: Douchebag.

But I could use any help You're willing to offer.

Here's the link

4. I would send back a picture of Cheney and say "You want this guy
one pretzel away from the nuclear football?"

I've long since given up on trying to teach the folks who are too stupid. I would suggest you do the same. They are big on volume but low on numbers and smarts.

5. Resume for Bush
Never worked a day in his life, avoided his time in the military, got rich from his daddy's money, lost the popular vote and ended up president anyway.

6. I saw the stupid resume
If you comment again, just remind them that Kerry served two tours in Vietnam, and then ask them how many tours Bunnypants served.

RESUME FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

NAME: John Kerry

RESIDENCE: 7 mansions, including one in Washington DC, worth multi-millions. most of these these are not his but his wife Teresa's which she inherited from her Rebub. 1st husband. http://www.snopes.com/politics/kerry/homes.asp

I served in Vietnam (four months). 4 months on his 2nd tour, a full year in theater on his first tour, I am not gonna bother repeating this fact everywhere, plus he didn't get out early

EXPERIENCE:

Law Enforcement. In my career as a U.S. Senator, I've voted to cut every law enforcement, CIA, and Defense bill. I ordered the city of Boston to remove a fire hydrant in front of my mansion, thereby endangering my neighbors in the event of fire. I served in Vietnam (four months). EVERY? i believe he was instrumental in passing the COPS program. don't have all the details but clearly bull

MILITARY:

I served in Vietnam (four months). I used three minor injuries to get an early discharge from the military and service in Vietnam (as documented by the attending doctor).not documented by anyone because it's false. one of the swifties "claims" to be his doc, but did not sing and of the form, someone else did. I served in Vietnam (four months). I then returned to the U.S., joined Jane Fonda in protesting the war, this implies that he worked together with her, which he did not. true, they were both amongst the millions who protested in their own way and insulted returning Vietnam vets, claiming they committed atrocities and were baby killers.he claimed no such thing. all he did was give testimony as to what was said at a certain vet's group meeting in Detroit, plus there were atrocities committed, that is a documented fact I served in Vietnam (four months). I threw my medals, ribbons, or something away in protest. Or did I? My book "Vietnam
Veterans Against the War: The New Soldier", shows how I truly feel about the military. I served in Vietnam (four months).

COLLEGE:

I graduated from Yale University with a low C average.that was bunnypant's GPA, not Kerrys Unlike my counterpart George Bush, I have no higher education and did not get admitted to Harvard nor graduate with an M.B.A he got his juris doctorate from Boston College

PAST WORK EXPERIENCE:

After College and Vietnam, I ran for the U.S. Congress and have been there ever since. he lost that race and became a prosecutor, later running for and winning a senate seat I have no real world experience except marrying very rich women and running their companies vicariously through them.he has run no companies of either of his wives, that I am aware of, Teresa doesn't even have a company and is involved in now way with Heinz Catsup I served in Vietnam (four months).

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

As a U.S. Senator I set the record for the most liberal voting record, exceeding even Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton.not true, he is like 17th most liberal I have consistently failed to support our military and CIA by voting against their budgets, thus gutting our country's abili ty to defend itself.more utter bull, he voted reducing military as recommended by Sec. of D at the time, Cheney, that was the peace dividend. the intel cut he proposed was for a satellite program they did not go ahead with and were using the cash for a slush fund. his bill was defeated and a bill sponsored by the Rs cutting twice as much was subsequently passed. Although I voted for the Iraq War, now I am against it and refuse to admit that I voted for it.he did not vote for war. he voted to give the prez the authority to use force as a last resort after obtaining the support of the UN security council, after all diplomatic aveneues were exhausted if sadaam did not cooperate (which he was doing) so bushiw had some meat to go to the UN with. I voted for every liberal piece of legislation..there's that pesky word "every" again, easy to debunk i am sure I have no plan to help this country but I intend to raise taxes significantly if I am elected. I served in Vietnam (four months)actually, he would like to lower taxes on the middle and lower classes, and raise them only for the richest 1 or 2% who can most afford it

My wealth so far exceeds that of my counterpart, George Bush, that he will never catch up. I make little or no charitable contributions and have never agreed to pay any voluntary excess taxes in Massachusetts, despite family wealth in excess of $ 700 million. I served in Vietnam (four months).see above linked snopes article. Teresa and he have a pre-nup and keep all their pre-marriage assets separate

I (we) own 28 manufacturing plants (Heinz) outside of the U.S. in places like Asia, Mexico and Europe. We can make more profit from the cheaper cost of labor in those Countries, although I blame George Bush for sending all of the other jobs out of Country. I served in Vietnam (four months).http://www.snopes.com/politics/kerry/heinz.asp

Although I claim to be in favor of alternative energy sources, Ted Kennedy and I oppose windmills off Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard as it m ight spoil our view of the ocean as we cruise on our yachts. I served in Vietnam (four months).

RECORDS AND REFERENCES:

None. However, I served in Vietnam (four months).

PERSONAL

I practice my Catholic faith whenever cameras are present. I ride a Serotta Bike. I love to ski/snowboard. I call my Gulfstream V Jet the "Flying Squirrel". I call my $850,000 42-foot Hinckley twin diesel yacht the "Scarmouche".

I am fascinated by rap and hip-hop and feel it reflects our real culture.

I own several "Large" SUVs including one parked at my Nantucket summer mansion, though I am against large, polluting, inefficient vehicles and blame George Bush for our energy problems. I served in Vietnam (four months).

PLEASE CONSIDER MY EXPERIENCE WHEN VOTING IN 2004.

lol, i just spent this time off the top of my head and while searching windmills kerry on google came up with this, much better than what I have written: http://s92797179.onlinehome.us/kerry.html

15. Right here
RESUME FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

NAME: John Kerry

RESIDENCE: 7 mansions, including one in Washington DC, worth multi-millions. All owned and inherited by my wife.

EXPERIENCE:
After graduating from Boston College Law School in 1976, John Kerry went to work as a top prosecutor in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. He took on organized crime and put behind bars "one of the state's most notorious gangsters, the number two organized crime figure in New England." He fought for victims' rights and created programs for rape counseling.

MILITARY:

I volunteered in Vietnam for two tours, earning a Silver Star, a Bronze Star with Combat V, and three Purple Hearts. I then returned to the U.S., joined Jane Fonda in protesting the war, and did my best to to get the brave men who were there back home, without losing any more lives in a pointless war.

COLLEGE:

I graduated from Yale University, which I got into without using my family connections. After my time in Vietnam, I graduated from Boston College Law School (1976).

PAST WORK EXPERIENCE:
Feb 1966 - Formally enlists in U.S. Navy
Feb 1968 - Deployed to Western Pacific aboard the USS Gridley and requests duty in Vietnam
Nov 1968 - Reports for duty in Vietnam
Dec 1968 - Experiences first intense combat and earns first Purple Heart
Feb 1969 - Earns second Purple Heart & the Silver Star
Mar 1969 - Earns the Bronze Star for saving the life of a fellow soldier
Mar 1970 - Separated from active service
Prosecutor, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.
Lt. Governor, Massachusetts (1982)
US Senate, Massachusetts (1984, reelected four times by popular vote).

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

As a member of the US Navy, I earned honors and medals, being honorably discharged.

As Middlesex County Prosecutor I took on organized crime and put behind bars the “number two organized crime figure in New England." I also fought for victims' rights and created programs for rape counseling.

As Lt. Governor, I organized the nation's Governor's to combat the growing risk of acid rain and pollution threatening the nation's drinking supply.

As a U.S. Senator I have the number eleven spot as most liberal, with Senator Ted Kennedy ahead of me. I chose to follow the example of the liberal heroes before me, such as Martin Luther King, Jr, Susan B. Anthony, John F. Kennedy, both Roosevelts (Despite Ted's party choice, his policies were extremely liberal), as well as most of the founding fathers, including George Washington. I voted for the appropriation to go to war based on false information supplied by the current administration, and was willing to fight if the UN was involved.I intend to raise taxes significantly if I am elected for people in the top 1% earning bracket, while actually cutting taxes for the middle and lower classes. I have a multitude of plans to help the country.
