Telephone Hell

Every day for the last four days I have gotten a call from 214-000-0000. It is a recorded message from Laura Bush urging me to vote straight ticket Republican. I don't pick up so it leaves a message on the machine. I tried to call the number back and ask them to please remove me from their list, but of course it is not a working number. I have had this number since 1976 and never in that time have I voted for a Republican. I just want them to stop calling!!!

I know where we live, you can block a call for a small fee - like 2 or 3 dollars.

5. Some caller id boxes can be programmed to suppress calls

from a list of selected numbers. You might check the documentation on yours.

4. Yikes, I don't think that is a valid or possible number...214 is Dallas

but they must have diddled with the caller ID system to come up with all zeroes. Weird. :eyes:

Unfortunately, the "Do Not Call List" exempted politicians. They claimed it was so they could do their polling, but I never thought W would convert the 1st Lady into a polster! The shame!
