1. Thanks for the heads up |
|
Watching now. I read about it on DU today in real time, but it is great to see the big dog back on the stump.

So much voltage on that stage. So much power and glory.

Darn it. I missed Clinton |
|
Oh well,
Great Clinton line, "we will both be former presidents!" (referring to Bush)
Love it.

3. Clinton's not quite as sharp as he was at the DNC |
|
But he's gotta have some slack just coming off a month of hanging out at home. I think he was holding back some of the criticism of the Bush Regime to let Kerry throw the punches, as well.

1. he IS recovering from quadruple bypass 2. he would NOT overshadow Kerry even if he was up to it. the man KNOWS politics and he is not running. he warmed up the crowd and gave it over to the MAIN event. no surprise there at all.
big dawg was as perfect as he could be.

How can anyone watch a Kerry rally and not be all for him is beyond me.

8. It was MUCH louder in person... |
|
I'm amazed at how toned down the crowd sounds on TV as opposed to in person.
I swear, the electricity running throughout that rally was enough to make people 10 blocks away feel it as if they were right there next to us - I've simply never seen anything like it before!
There were groups of college students shouting "we love you!!" to Kerry and "we miss you!!" to Clinton...repeated chants of "Kerry" or "we want Kerry!"
Can you feel it?!?! The momentum is so much on our side it really is unfair to poor little Shrub!!

9. A woman standing in front of me |
|
...almost passed out when she spotted the Big Dawg. She was jumping up and down, was practically breathless, and I thought she was going to pass out and land on me!

It was essentially the same speech he gave here in Dayton last week, but well honed and delivered flawlessly. To have a President who has command of English again...
