Did anyone watch Business News on PBS after The NewsHour tonight? |
|
They interviewed US business owners who are peeved that new regulations regarding terrorism, etc, prevent many buyers from other countries from getting visas and prevent them from entering the US to visit factories, causing exports to fall.
Also, one ex-pat was saying that Americans in govt, business, and overall, need to understand that the world is alot smaller place now, and we need to pay attention to the opinions of people in other countries.
they also addressed the fact that foreign student applications to US universities are down by 1/3, causing a future brain-drain of international talent.
Sounds like there might be some pro-business opportunities for the Kerry Administration if they can make the counter-terrorism laws fairer but stil safe.
