Why the World Series may be more important than you think....
If Boston wins the World Series, its first in 86 years, in 7 Games, then it would be crowned the world champs on Sunday, October 31. Victory parades usually follow 2 days later, which would be on Election Day.

So many of those BoSox fans from New Hampshire, a swing state, would have to choose between voting and attending the parade. The question is: more Dems or more Pugs skip voting to celebrate with the Sox?

Disclaimer: I stole most of this from a CNNSI.com article.

3. cross-post on NH forum
say, "hey New Hampshire! Sox are gonna taxe it! If the parade is on election day, remember to VOTE before you drive down!" parts of NH are only 1 hr from Boston.

Hopefully, Red Sox take it in 4 games and the party is cleaned up by Election Day. :D

GO SOX!

6. The last time the Red Sox won a World Series...
World War I ended about a month later. So you see, a Boston victory could usher in a new era of world peace. ;)

7. New England is pretty small
people should have plenty of time to vote. However, I bet the Mayor of Boston would postpone it until the day after. I wish they would hold it on a weekend instead!
