This is what the CO told a neighbor's kid who is in the military. The kid thinks Bush is an idiot and will vote for Kerry, but he said the pressure to vote for and support Bush is stifling. You just don't say anything bad about Bush in his unit.

On another front, has anyone here ever listened to Atlanta's WGST talk shows in the afternoon? I have never heard so many lies and so much hate in my life. As I was driving this afternoon I discovered that Saddam hid all his nukes in Syria. We might all be dead if Bush had not invaded Iraq. Anyone against Bush is against America. Every single thing Kerry says is a lie. Saddam was in bed with Al Qaeda to destroy America.
These late afternoon talk show hosts are all in la-la land. They get the callers so worked up that some call in talking about joining the military to defend America against terrorists and Democrats.

I served in the Army during Vietnam and those were some trying times, but what's happening now on the right has me concerned. Never, in my wildest dreams, did I EVER imagine such a scenario as this. It's like Hitler after the Reichstag, but this time it's in the good ole' USA.

to the cesspool of America! And, yes, it concerns all rational people across the land, I agree. The rightwingnuts are a crazy, ornery, hate-filled bunch of ignoramuses in a feeding frenzy with each other as well as demonetizing the rest of us.

4. I was told in 1961 by a German student studying here in the USA that

"the next great fascist world power will be the U.S.A.!" We told him he was full of it, but so many things he warned us about have taken place or close to taking place. He based his observations upon what his parents had told him explaining to their children how they were themselves duped by Hitler. He was aware of McCarthyism and the John Birch Society was getting a firm footing. Eisenhower had warned us about the power of the military/industrial complex.

We have now had our Reichstag Fire on 9/11, our Leni Reifenstahl propaganda photo ops and Goebbels lies told by Karl Roverer's (changed to Rove when he emigrated to the US) grandson. Yes, Karl's grandfather helped build death camps in Nazi Germany! "Karl Heinz Roverer, the gauleiter of Mecklenburg, was also a partner and senior engineer of Roverer Sud-Deutche Ingenieurbüro AG. They built Birchenau, the concentration camp in Nazi Germany." Then we had Prescott Bush working for the Nazi's from here in our "homeland!"

We have had our "Blitzkrieg invasion of Poland" in Iraq, so we have reached 1940. We have 5 years left before our own nation is in ruin.

5. Is the Rove/nazi link for real?

Sure, a person can't be judged by what the person's ancestors did, but attitudes, particularly deeply felt attitudes, tend to be passed from one generation to the next. How else can the south cling to yesterday's humiliation by the yankees, when to everyone else it happened a century and a half ago?

Nazi/Rove is a more direct, potentially heartfelt attitude than Nazi/Bush ever was. And that one is well documented.
