Ann is a mannish, skeletal freak for sure, but is that any reason to insult TGs by saying she's one of them?

There used to be a few complaints about these threads when they started YEARS AGO, but I guess the TG community has given up on the Coulter/Drag Queen jokes - they seem to be unstoppable. The thing is they are so ancient and stale! Who cares about Ann Coulter anymore? She's a has-been media whore. Big whoop.

I'll never understand why otherwise good people believe it's ok to ridicule someone's (particularly a woman's) looks simply because s/he is a political opponent. Most people here would never think to say these kinds of things about co-workers, but it's fine just because she's a political hack?

Do you think she got on TV because of her brilliant mind? After being fired from half a dozen jobs? You get the job because of your looks - I don't care for them, but others do - then they're fair game.

I think she got the job because she's a woman, regardless of her looks. There are plenty of female repubs who are attractive, so if that was the demo they were going for, she wouldn't have gotten it. But she's a woman who's willing to spew as much hate and intolerance as they ask, so she's just what they needed. The RWers have to go out of their way to prove that they're inclusive, you know.

And I say *particularly* a woman's because I very rarely see these kinds of posts directed at RW men (not that they would be any better). But Coulter, Ingraham and "Dr." Laura get them pretty frequently. Again, bash their (lack of) intelligence, thoughtfulness, logic, etc. But calling them out based on their looks is no better than the RWers crying that Kerry looks French. :shrug:
