1. Don't attribute levels of competence to your enemies
that they have yet to display.

4. Good answer
Who knows what the future holds; but the mystique of the Bush Administration is definately that of the Wizard of Oz kind--it only works if you believe it and don't ask questions--once you look behing the curtain they are consistant screw ups.

Yeah. Rove is good, but no-one is that good.
If Rove was that good, Kerry would be twenty points down.

7. By the same token, don't underestimate him either.
Buck up. We knew going into this that it'd get ugly. But it's MORE than worth it. So go raise some hell and have fun in the process...

Hope for the best, but plan for the worst.

:D

9. True. What I mean is don't be crippled by fear.
Rove isn't as great as we fear, but he just has to be good enough.

3. I can't even reassure myself. It's gonna be a disaster, imho.
The fraud and corruption is pervasive.

6. V O T E ! Then we will figure it out from there !
Edited on Tue Oct-26-04 11:14 AM by vetwife
Choose to Choose and if they steal it again, there is no turning back ! We will just become the worst messed up state of affairs any country has seen ! Vote and go from there ! I will assure you of ths we are just one tiny portion on this planet and that only a little of a quarter of people on this huge planet agree with the Maniac in office so there comes a time to trust the people to protect their government. We start by the vote !

I stole your button..I liked it ! thanks !

12. When you win with 55%, it won't matter
I don't beleive people realize the extent of the voters' motivation. Even down here in Red red Houston, the turnout, in all areas, is huge. Here is a sampler: In northwest Harris County, the Rubbubs always vote over 80% of their folks. That showed up in 1998, 2000, and 2002, early vote and all. Most of these areas have not seen a spurt in growth. However, the early vote totals in Harris County are 100 - 200% above those sampler years. The vote is coming from the blue precincts where turnout is normally 15 - 30%.

This is Harris County, Texas. We have had little organized GOTV and less advertising (the "let a sleeping dog lie" mentality). My point is: even here, in the Bush backwaters, people are steamed. DO NOT DESPAIR - MY PREDICTION: KERRY 315EV

16. Happy Dance!
I live in the Hill Country in a mostly retired county. I was told 'unofficially' that we are having the highest dem turnout to date so far in early voting! We have had an influx of younger people that commute to Austin move here, that could be the reason.

14. Well, from a fellow pessimist,
I've come to the conclusion that Kerry is going to win, despite all of the vote fraud the 'Pugs come up with. Face it, the 'Pugs only have the resources to rig the vote in a few key states, places like Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania. They can't do every state, they simply don't have the resources or access to wire every state. And with 20 million new registered voters, most of whom(75%) will go for Kerry, I think that numbers will simply overwhelm the Bushco machine. Kerry is going to win with percentages in the upper fifties, lower sixties. No matter if the Bush gang has a few states wired their way, they will still be overwhelmed by the numbers.

My major fear right now is that the BFEE will gin up some sort of MIHOP/LIHOP attack and declare martial law a couple of days before the election.
