Bush says the object on his back in 1st debate was a badly tailored shirt
I saw Bush interviewed this morning on television with Charlie Gibson, I happen to tune in just when Gibson began to ask Bush what the squarish object protuding from his back was during the 1st debate.

Bush responded by saying, he wasn't sure, that it was 'probably a poorly tailored shirt.' Bush did not say anything about it being a bullet-proof vest. * then went on to lamely deny that it was some type of transceiver.

That has got to be the most laughable response I've ever heard! I couldn't believe until now that a human being could be that fucking moronic!

1. No, they think WE are that utterly moronic.
The fact that they could even consider that such a confabulation might be believed by us shows how little they respect the American People.

2. How about during the second debate?
Or at various press conferences? Or on his own ranch (in pictures on whitehouse.gov)?

Wait, what the hell? Did I, for a moment, take anything that chimpfaced motherfucker said seriously? I must need a vacation.

4. As a bonafide seamstress - BS
I have had some screw-ups but nothing ever came out looking like a rectangular box with a wire coming out of it! Lumpy seams maybe.

What an ass.

Bulgegate: The President's Newest Lie About What He Wore to the Debates

Okay, tell me the truth. Does anyone think that millionaire preppy George W. Bush has a badly tailored shirt or a badly tailored suit in his wardrobe?

The question is important because that’s the lame excuse that Bush and Karl Rove have come up with to try and quiet the media buzz about the bulge under his jacket during the three presidential debates.

After behaving like total cowards for the past two weeks, the White House press corps finally squeaked. In an interview with Bush, ABC's "Good Morning" reporter Charlie Gibson yesterday finally showed the guts to ask the president what the bulge in his jacket was. . .

8. Badly tailored in that it didn't hide the receiver.
Whoever installed it should be checked out by Ashcroft and his gang of goons.

9. That makes sense. I know that Presidents can't afford
decent taylors these days. They especially can't afford them for use in make or break televised debates. I know that a terribly image consious president and his handlers wouldn't bother to make sure his clothing fit properly for such a minor and unimportant event.

That shirt was tailored to fit a freakin' radio transceiver!
Karl Rove and/or Karen Hughes did feed him the answers. Just another of a long string of lies!!!

12. You would think
Edited on Tue Oct-26-04 02:41 PM by nebula
that Bush could have lied and said it was a bullet-proof vest.

Even though probably no bullet-proof vest is known to protude like that from the back, it would at least be somewhat more believable than a 'badly tailored shirt.'

Not even the staunchest, dumbest of * supporters would believe that load of crap about a badly tailor shirt. Such a moron. Can't even come up with a half-way decent lie!

17. his FRENCH tailor was on foxnews last night
1. the man was the most unkempt french tailor i've ever seen; he looks INSANE & needs to shed some weight.

2. the tailor demonstrated that a suit will wrinkle across the back when you hunch your shoulders JUST like nixon. but the shape of the created fold was NOT EVEN CLOSE to 'the bulge'.

3. we said he was wired BEFORE the debates, he was OBVIOUSLY wired during the debates, he has presenile dementia, and you're discriminating against the doddering!

4. if its a back brace, who the fuck cares? why NOT say its a back brace?
