My friend is writting a play thats pretty powerful(anti Bush) |
He writting it for school & hopes to have it run as a one act play by spring. It takes place in October 2004. A young man who's got everything going for him says he's going to committ sucide if Bush wins a second term. He has it all planned out & his family, friends, etc is taking him seriously. He hasn't figured out the end yet, but hearing him describe it sounds very powerful. Any suggestions I can pass along?

1. tell him to wait for election day. |
if he's basing it on current events, it would make sense to let the events play out...
otherwise, it will be instantly dated.

2. The ending I envision: |
The vote seems very close & the repubs are fighting with lawsuit after lawsuit. The young man gives up & commits suicide. The next day the truth comes out (found ballots, fraud, etc.) that Kerry won by a landslide.
