5. as if drudge has a clue what that map means |
|
I certainly don't. But I do know that the forecast for next Tuesday in places like Dallas, Little Rock, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, and Nashville (the 'buckle' of the bible belt) is for highs near 70 and lows in the mid to upper 40s with chances of precipitation ranging from 10% to 40 %. Drudge is just smokin' dope again.
And even if he's right...holding down turnout in the bible belt ain't gonna bother me one little ol' bit....

7. God works in mysterious ways |
|
In the Midwest were were always taught to pray that God's will be done, not that our wish be God's command as in the Bushworld version of things.
Hopefully the Midwestern fundies haven't lost touch with that basic tenet and will take this as sign and make them reconsider their unholy alliance with Bush & Co.

8. Just pray that NYC gets a HUGE dump of snow after the polls close |
|
but just before NBC goes into 'DEMOCRACY PLAZA" overdrive. I want to see that ice rink with the map of the United States all covered with snow. Somehow, turning the election into a circus pisses me off. lol.

I can walk even if there's two feet of snow. It won't kill me.
Worst case scenario is that I have to put my Jeep into 4 wheel drive...

11. Lots of people in the Bible Belt have 4WD from past experience with |
|
snowstorms, icestorms, hurricanes, and floods, or just to get around on hilly land. I remember driving my truck with 4WD to the polls and voting for Gore, though I was not using the 4WD at the time.

12. The problem with 4wd owners |
|
They think that just by having 4 wheel drive they can still do 70 down the highway. I drove to Detroit Metro airport to pick up my Dad a couple winters ago. His plane made it safely but the roads were an icy hell. I saw a few 4 wheel drive vehicles spin out, but my cautious driving in Dad's two wheel drive van kept me out of the median.
99% of the time it's the driver and not the capability of the vehicle which makes the difference in bad weather. Only when the snow is too deep and two wheels can't push through it does 4 wheel drive become necessary on the road.
You should've seen the looks from the 4wd drivers when the little bitty girl in the big van passed them a couple miles after they flew by me and then got stuck.
