Okay, this guy's a sicko
http://sierratimes.com/04/10/10/ar_medved.htm

Committed to making his kids sign up when they come of age, and encouraging others to do the same.

I got news for you fella -- when your kids hit 18, they don't have to do a damn thing you say anymore. If they don't wanna enlist, they don't gotta.

IF YOU'RE SO GUNG HO, WHY DON'T YOU GET OFF YOUR ASS AND ENLIST YOURSELF INSTEAD OF THROWING YOUR KIDS INTO THE LINE OF FIRE.

Whew, sorry, I needed to get that out.

1. Well said, dude

I recently had a conversation with my oldest (who I think could have a brilliant military career) in which I tried to paint the pros and cons as honestly as possible, hoping he would respond more to the cons. Fortunately, he has. Tho Sam would make a truly fine officer, I don't want him anywhere near this mess.

If anyone from this family has to go to this war, let it be me.

2. He "expects" lol
"And yes, I expect an announcement before the election that both of the president's daughters will participate to some degree in this type of program. You can call it "Famous Frontline Families" or whatever you want to. I call it good old America patriotism."

They will have to sober them up first.

12. Yeah, his comment about his previous anti-war activity
Reminds me of those women who've had abortions in the past and now regret them so they go around trying to make them illegal for other women to atone for it.

4. Medved has always been a sociopath
One of the best venom spewers the right has, actually. If his kids go, fine. If they come back alive, fine. If they come back in a bag, fine. I couldn't give a rat's ass either way.

Parents have ways of forcing their kids to do things: you don't enlist, we don't pay for your college. Things like that.

Maybe the 17 year old will enlist, but I'm sure they can come up with some excuse down the road for the younger ones to avoid service. Medved is also a powerful figure within the Right Wing Echo Chamber. He knows powerful people who can see to it that the little Medved's are kept safely out of harm's way.

But it sure would be funny if they had to serve a commander in chief John Kerry. Would we still hear the nagging from the likes of Medved about the need to support the president?

7. Michael Medved, going to Baghdad?
Any bets on when we'll be seeing him begging for US troops to leave Iraq on a home video broadcast on al Jazeera? :scared:

What a befitting fate for Medved. I don't wish his kids ill, but I wouldn't mind seeing some of these guys taking the consequences of their war lust. Medved in tears begging for US withdrawal is about as good as it gets. Sadly, that fate seems to be consigned to humanitarian workers, and journalists, and brave kids in the army. And you know Medved would crack in a millisecond; in fact, he'd probably beg us to surrender our entire country to jihadists, just to save his weasel ass. There isn't a drop of courage, or nobility in these goons.

11. Oh yeah, I'm sure the 11 yr.old pledged full participation.
:eyes: What choice did he or she have? What a dick! I feel sorry for the 17 yr. old - soon to be fodder for Bushco's killing machine.
