Bush campaign setting the stage for Civil War with this mentality
Here's a Bush campaign letter - read it closely, it sure as hell looks like they are laying the groundwork for either Civil War or Subjugation of some of the population.

Utter BS - Marc Racicot should be arrested for causing a Public Disturbance, this seems very close to Sedition to me, not a lawyer - I'm pretty sure this election is going to be VERY UGLY, and I predict that Bush will REFUSE to leave the White House.

Check out the SHEER HYPOCRISY in it - THEY don't want HIGH POWERED LAWYERS TO CHOOSE the President?

They are going to be dangerous, I'm glad I'm not in the USA proper.

********************

Dear Mister,

Just a few short days stand between us and the election. If the activities taking place in battleground states are any indication, our opponents plan a long, bitter, and vicious fight. Let me share just a sample of what is going on across the country today, 6 days before you vote. And let me tell you what else you may expect to see.

We have already seen 35 lawsuits filed in 17 states - some before the first ballot was even cast. So far, the Democrats have failed in their attempts to win this election in the courts, rather than the ballot box.

The shadowy groups aligned against us will stop at nothing, and I mean nothing, to win. That is why we must prepare for every possible outcome next Tuesday. That is why we must have the resources necessary to fight any legal battle. Will you ensure we're prepared?

www.GeorgeWBush.com/Recount

Our offices have been broken into, vandalized, and robbed. Gun shots have pierced the doors and windows of several offices. Fortunately, no one was hurt in those attacks, but unfortunately, when union members stormed an office in Florida, a volunteer's arm was broken.

Our GELAC account (our legal fund, really) can be used to pay for some of the damage done to offices we occupy. More importantly, though, it allows us to pay the costs of a recount. It allows us to guard against the kind of lawsuits we have seen, and which we expect to see in the days after the election.

Those allied against us will not go quietly when the voters speak. They have already made clear they consider the election to be only the opening battle in a much larger war - a war we must also be prepared to fight. Will you make sure we're ready?

www.GeorgeWBush.com/Recount

We do not want to go through another election where the outcome is held hostage by the courts and those who were defeated at the polls try to reverse the outcome through legal wrangling and endless litigation.

We want the people's will, not the will of high-powered trial lawyers, to determine the President. To make that happen, we need you. We need you to make one last contribution to our GELAC fund and help us secure the outcome of this election against those who would use violence, theft and assault as tactics - and those who would use the courts to claim a victory they did not earn.

Please give all you can.

Sincerely,

Marc Racicot
Chairman

P.S. Those who oppose us have already used theft, vandalism and assault as weapons to win this election. Their next stop will be the courts. Will you make a contribution to our legal fund and ensure we have the resources to uphold the vote when the people speak next Tuesday? Please give all you can. www.GeorgeWBush.com/Recount

1. This is what expect from these fear mongers
It kind of makes me think of the early days of the Nazi Party, before Hitler came to power. They are strident, militant and unscrupulous - and guilty of the very things they accuse Dems of.

very interesting post.

3. If Rove's crew would quit vandalizing their offices
and "stealing" their laptops, and if they could get Parlock to quit shooting up their offices, we wouldn't have to hear this whining.

OTOH, this Reich has an agenda to fulfill.

4. Here's some more detail on the union attacks...
... and the "broken" arm:

http://www.nytimes.com/2004/10/26/politics/campaign/26breakin.html

No evidence of an organized union attack whatsoever except Racicot's assertion. If there are any serious investigations of these incidents, they are certainly going to point to Republicans themselves, once all the dust has cleared....

7. And even more here re: the "broken arm" at the union protests.....
against the theft of overtime pay.....

<snip>

No one was arrested in any of the three cities (Miami, Orlando, Tampa), but police said they continue to look into the incidents.

BLAMED ON `HATE'

A GOP official in Florida immediately blamed the events on an atmosphere of ''hate'' created by the Kerry campaign.

''I think the other side is a Democratic party filled with hate right now,'' said Mindy Tucker Fletcher, a senior advisor to the Republican Party of Florida.

''This just shows the lengths they will go to to try to harass and intimidate Republicans and people who support President Bush,'' she said. ``When you have a presidential candidate who calls the president a liar and his supporters idiots, that's what you end up with on the ground.''

<snip>

In Orlando, a field director for the Republican Party of Florida said his wrist was sprained while he was trying to stop protesters from getting through the office door, according to The Associated Press.

<snip>

In Tampa, police spokeswoman Laura McElroy said no laws were violated, but that a couple of Bush staffers felt intimidated enough to flee the front of the office and call 911.

Cowards, hypocrites and doomed to failure.

15. Interesting that Mindy Tucker Fletcher is now a

senior adviser to the Republican Party in Florida. I was just reading a thread in GD2004 about W's lack of press conferences, and a news article in the opening post ended with comments from Mindy Tucker, who was then working at the White House.

All the Bush*bots are on a closed track between DC, FL, and TX, aren't they?

9. NO ONE ELECTED HIM
repeat it often-its the truth!
''This just shows the lengths they will go to to try to harass and intimidate Republicans and people who support President Bush"
Today in the Dayton Daily News, a republican spokesperson stated that they will be at polling places challenging voters to prove that they can vote. Demanding pay for work that you have done is harassment and trying to turn away voters is not??? What the hell has gone wrong??

8. the tale of the union attack is instructive:these guys CAN'T STAND
actual confrontation with folks who take exception and answer back and organize. They are used to the left being asleep in their ivory tower while Da Man spins lies to their base about how dangerous we are, lies we haven't bothered to refute.

We must use more picketing and sitins and civil suits to change and bring justice to these entities which rule us--I read a memo from a Faux executive which mentioned in passing how terrified he was of picketers!
We could bring them to heel! They have even caved to massive email attacks.

Keep it up and do more, DUers!

10. The last thing the repukes want is a civil war...
The reality, a Civil War would cut into the corporations overhead. War is good for other nations, like ones we invade and have fat payouts to the war profiteers (halliburton, kbr, bechtel), but here in the US, I don't think a collapse of the US economy would fall into their plans for global domination.

11. Yes, pretty inflammatory -- and also full of lies
But then that's what I came to expect from Racicot from the get-go. He's a slimy bastard, tho silver-tongued to be sure.

17. They just admitted what I've thought all along
>>those who were defeated at the polls<<

This proves for me that the polls have been purposely skewed from the beginning. I don't know about any of you, but I haven't seen EITHER candidate 'defeated at the polls'.
Floating the lie, and then using it as proof of something, is the oldest Republican tactic in the book. Then all they need is a little help from the (liberal :eyes:) media, and they're home free.

This has been my fear for quite a while now. Skew the polls and use them as cover for all the votes they steal with e-voting machines.

Funny how transparent all their other attempts at voter suppression have been...just around the same time people were beginning to get very vocal about electronic voting.

Why, its almost as if they want people to forget all about the touch screen machines while they wring their hands and focus on missing registrations, etc...
