Ashcroft's final play

Everyone knows that Ashcroft has helped the administration in the past by announcing major arrests on days that the *resident was receiving bad press.

Given some of the latest chatter on this site and Cheney's warnings that if Kerry is elected a nuclear weapon will be detonated in one of our cities, here is what I think may happen in the next few days...My prediction is that John Ashcroft will announce that some plot to disrupt the presidential election has been foiled. The most audacious claim would be that they captured someone who was planning to use a dirty bomb/nuclear weapon in an American city. This would give Bush a major bump right before the election and guarantee a victory.

My guess is that all this chatter about domestic terrorism is not an accident...The administration knows that "capturing" OBL before the election is too obvious. Stopping an imminent attack is the perfect October surprise because it plays exactly into his perceived strengths (i.e. he will protect us). Just my 2 cents.

The more we talk about it, and can point to it if something DOES happen, the better. You can bet your ass they read this site, and when they see that we can reverse-engineer their dumbfuck reasoning, they might have to call it off.

I'm gonna predict Chicago. A large financial center in the Midwest, it would be a perfect place for the BFEE, er, I mean Al Qaeda, to strike.

7. I don't think this would work. It would proove Kerry's point that

this admin hasn't secured dangerous sites here at home. We could just as easily point out that the potential "dirty bomb" materials were optained from foolishly unsecured sites here, and there's tons of other places to obtain material that could let this happen anywhere AGAIN!
