is there such a thing as being too stupid to vote? |
|
reich winger mona charen proposed this the other day in a column, should uninformed voters be allowed to vote? hey mona, what about well informed voters that are TOO STUPID to vote?
and those annoying undecideds, should they be allowed to vote? how dense are you to not know by now who to vote for?
i wish there were a voter qualification test, like a driver's test, to see just how much you know about basic civics and world affairs etc.
sure, repubs will say we liberals are too stupid to vote, and vice versa, but is there something to it?

3. That's why they move voting places just before elections. |
|
So the "stupid" people can't find them.
Hey, let's have a poll tax, too!

When they do drug tests and IQ tests on candidates, they can talk about screening voters. Until then, they can go Cheney themselves.

States like PA require a license to cut hair - yes, to cut hair.
A license to vote would be a lot of fun - employers might use it when choosing between applicants.
Maybe Fox would choose the questions and analyze the answers.

7. The problem with 'voter qualification tests'... |
|
...is that they would be used to discriminate.
- There's a difference between being uninformed/uneducated and stupidity. A person without much education can still differentiate between right and wrong. A stupid person simply doesn't care as long as THEIR SIDE stays in power.
