Okay pretend you are a Freeper..Name three things Bush* has
done to try and Unite America... Okay name two things...If America is not United then it is a weaker Nation. "United we stand and divided we fall" and all... What has Bush* done to Unite this Nation and if he is sooo effective why are we so divided?

8. He's given hope to the criminals in america
When did we ever have a pres and vp with criminal convictions for drug crimes - in this case drunk driving. He's shown all the druggies in america that a criminal record need not hold you back. And look at laura bush who once committed vehicular manslaughter but she didn't let that stop her from becoming first lady. Hell - i bet even charly manson is saying "there's hope for me yet in this great nation."

14. and don't forget the convicted felons serving in his administration
--at least 6, from Iran-Contra days. they of course were "pardoned" by GHWBush(?), but that would be like Charles Manson pardoning Jack the Ripper.

16. He's united the whole world against us.
Oh, you said to "unite America."
Sorry, can't come up with anything. Though he has united the disparate Democratic leaning groups (pro-choice, pro-environment, anti-racism, anti-huge-ass-deficit, anti-going-to-war-for-no-fucking-reason, etc) together into one indomitable force.
I'll give him credit for uniting us all against the neo-cons so we can take back our Nation from the ultra-right-wing freak-show. He did that on accident though.

19. Okay...here is my answer to your challange
1) He signed the Patriot Act, which gives him an opportunity to force everyone to stand behind him or suffer consequences, thereby creating unity.

2) He has created a complicit media who disappear any stories that would harm him. Thereb, the media is creating a falsely uniting situation.

20. the things he's done, according to some freaks I've talked to:
"Brought back morality to the White House"

"Eased the burden on the American people by cutting taxes"

"Protected America at home and abroad"

the way many of these people act reminds me of the way creationists argue: they will keep saying the same thing and using the same argument even if that argument was discredited thirty years ago. The typical response is to change the subject, or even keep on the same subject, even repeating the same lines.

26. You are the only one to even try with a real answer...but
Edited on Wed Oct-27-04 06:06 PM by Bandit
What are the results? Are we more United because of thse things he did? Did cutting taxes for mainly the very wealthy really Unite this country. On your first answer I suspect you are really joking, but if you aren't did his "morality" Unite America more than before he came to office? On your third answer that is probably the closest to having any semblance of truth. Many people do feel he has helped make America safer. I don't see it myself but I will give you that one. Especially directly after 9-11.
