Just voted early in TX!
Live just outside of Houston, voted at Pasadena Annex. Took us 1/2 hour to get through the line. There were approx. 16 voting machines and lots of people. I commented on this to the lady taking names, and she said it's been like that, meaning busy, since early voting polls opened. People are voting in droves, I tell ya! Also noticed more Shrubbie signs around the neighborhood sadly. But felt so good to nix Shrubbie and Delay. Now, if I die tonight, I can die in peace but won't know who won.:nopity:

1. Just got back from voting myself in Arkansas.
And it was very, very busy. But, I am happy to say that I have seen far more support here (Hot Springs) for Kerry than Bush.

And I have a very good feeling that this is gonna go our way. :D

13. Howdy, theophilus! My wife and I had no troubles...

It was pretty busy at noon. But there were enough booths set up and so many helpful volunteers, that we were probably in and out in about 15 minutes.

19. As if there is no other reason to vote
except for Kerry. Believe it or not we actually have other races to win. Kerry won't be able to do much if congress is in repub hands now will he?

4. The repukes who've passed on will know if shrub stole another one
because instead of desperately seeking ice water they'll suddenly need mittens and scarves.

5. Hi, babylonsister!
We must live near each other - I also voted at the Pasadena Annex a week ago Monday on the first day of early voting. My experience was much the same - heavy turnout, very busy, about 1/2 hour line. I think the people at the courthouse were not prepared for such a heavy turnout of early voters, as the voting machines were set up in an unfinished room that looked like a storage room. But at least I also have voted to nix shrubya and DeLay!

K/E and Morrison all the way!!! :hi:

7. Yep, I live south of Hobby A/P
It really is pretty exciting to see the turnout. And I only saw one blond busty thing w/a B/C pin on. Who knows? I'd be happy if TX results were even close, and I think a lot of people are really disgusted w/DeLay as well as Shrubbie.

11. Great turn out in Texas Hill Country, too!
My Father went last week and waited over 30 minutes in line. I am leaving early today and will let you know what it is like. I know that in 2000 I waited less then 5 minutes. We don't usually have a huge rush for early voting where I live.

18. No lines?
Odd. I'm going to vote at the Randals (71 and Manchaca) later today. Everyday since early voting started there's been a long line. South Congress is a pretty young area, I'm surprised at the lack of turnout.

16. our votes will count in the popular vote, babylonsister
I voted early last week and waited about 30 minutes too (Plano Texas). I know we are in repug hell but I don't care, it feels good to vote against neocons.

20. Your vote will truly count
in other races - judicial and congressional. We may not be able to get texas for kerry, but I am confident we will pick up other offices.

23. Here's another report from Houston
My friends all voted in the last week: Victor said he stood in line for an hour before he finally got to vote (Katy Freeway west location). Dave voted yesterday (Alief area) and it took him an hour and a half to get thru the line. But the best was this morning. Dan got in line at 10 am and did not vote unil noon! (Northwest 290 area)
WOOOOHOOOOO! What a turnout, and early voting goes on until Friday 7pm. Me? I voted absentee 3 weeks ago!
