Is O'Really actually alleging Al Franken collusion in Falafelgate?
I was just listening out of one ear to Anderson Cooper on CNN and he had Lisa Bloom (CourtTV) on. She said O'Really's lawyers have requested "early discovery", I believe the term was.
She said they were requesting details of some alleged meeting Franken had with Mackris.
Methinks O'Really is now certifiably paranoid, if I heard right.
Did anyone else hear this?

1. Al Franken talked about this on Howard Stern
Edited on Wed Oct-27-04 06:42 PM by Bombtrack
he said that he had dinner with Mackris once. I forget about what exactly.

I think she was warning Al about threats O'Reilly was making that he was going to do to Al.

2. Franken said he met with her for lunch several months ago.
He said he knew of the threats against him, but he says he did not know details about the rest of the lawsuit. Considering O'Reilly allegedly threatened Franken with dire things.....best O'Reilly not go after Al Franken. LOL

3. Franken did meet with Mackris
He mentioned it on his show. She was warning him about what O'Reilly said about Bush and Cheney going after Franken. She didn't mention the harrassment.

If O'Reilly is going after Franken, he'll be sorry. Franken is holding his tongue on this, even though he doesn't want to. If O'Reilly drags him in, he's going to catch hell. And I'm going to enjoy watching!

4. I thought I read where O'Reilly settled this for four million dollars.
Why is it still being discussed?

7. I heard the same thing you did.
I can believe O'Really continues to draw attention to himself on this case. He would be well advised to shut up and pay up. But he just can't help himself. Pass the popcorn.

9. He should exercise more caution choosing sparring partners.
It doesn't matter how they stack up chronologically, Big Al's still his daddy! :D

11. CNN involvement?
Edited on Thu Oct-28-04 05:49 AM by monarch
Has anyone suggested that somebody at CNN helped Mackris decide to set up O'Reilly? It seems to me that she might have mentioned O'Reilly's peccadillos to somebody at CNN who encouraged her to return to get the evidence. I'm not saying that I object to such a scenario but it might explain Mackris' actions.
