Voters are having problems finding their precincts. Provisional ballots can be used in any state but in most the voter must be in their proper precinct. Precincts have moved for many reasons.

People For The American Way has started www.mypollingplace.com so anyone, anywhere can find their proper precinct.

Repugs think they can keep voters from the correct polling place. They would prefer that voters do not vote this time around. Please spread the word on this website.

9. This is happening

In 2000, we had recently moved, same county, different precinct.
We "had" changed our precinct. On election day, my husband was not registered in our new precinct and had to go back to our old community and vote. 25 miles away.
We thought it was an honest mistake. We had just moved, county just got new computer system, etc.

We called Monday to make sure we are registered to vote in our precinct so there would be no problems.

I am not! I am listed in my former precinct as inactive. I can drive the 25 miles and be reinstated as active and vote. How did this happen? No one knows. We have lived in this precinct 6 years.

I WILL go back to my old precinct and vote. Driving 25 miles is not a problem for me, it could be for others.

If you have any doubts, you may want to check your status.
There is no logical reason for me to be listed as inactive in my former precinct.

10. This information must get out everywhere.

Call your local radio stations and ask that they mention it. Call your newspapers and ask that they mention it. It was mentioned in the Seattle PI this morning.

Every voter and poll worker and poll observer and GOTV person needs to know about this site. Call your local campaign office and let them know to spread the word.
