Blamed the troops
to get Dubya off the hook for Al QaQaa.
"The president was cautious the president was prudent the president did what a commander in chief should do. No matter how you try to blame it on the president the actual responsibility for it really would be for the troops that were there. Did they search carefully enough? Didn't they search carefully enough?"

7. He is.
Yes, he was good after 9/11-but any other mayor would have been so.

RG was very nasty to the working people of NYC. He sucks.

13. "Good after 9.11?"
My recollections of Rudy on 9.11: Running from the dust with a hanky covering his mouth, like thousands of other New Yorkers in the area;

Post 9.11: Carrying out his duties as set out in his job description. Nothing more, nothing less.

14. Don't forget: preening for the cameras, using Ground zero as his own
political studio, shutting down the Union Square community /mourning place.
So glad I don't have to see sieg heils all over the place for this guy - even on DU! Just not running away and being GOP a hero doesn't make!

Floating the notion that elections should be postponed, since it was so obvious to him that he was NY's Indispensble Mayor.

20. You got me on that one
Yeah, I believe it, too. Not that I really expect him to breathe dust. I thought that he said after his bout with cancer, his outlook had changed. Guess not. I am sure he had the best healthcare, which he would deny to many millions of his fellow Americans.

I was not living in NYC at 9/11. But you're correct: Mr. Mayor, after-disaster stuff is in your job description.

16. GREAT line--->"Who's the Jane Fonda now?"
Geeez, that's perfect. Rudi is a smarm, always has been. I can't stand to even look at him. HIs stupid smile, his body, his walk, his speech... EEEEEEeeeeewwwww Yuk!

ANY mayor would have been charged with keeping their city together after that horrible attack.. Why in the HELL did the Queen "knight" him????!! That just inflated his already lopsided head more.. NO, Rudi is not god... And after that crack of his: blaming the soldiers, it only goes to show that he isn't so very BRIGHT EITHER.

Bubye Rude Rudi! gnuck gnuck gnuck

Guilliani is as guilty as Bush for riding 9-11 to the hilt.

To his defense, he was more than willing to go to Lower Manhattan, even when the air was quite unsafe just to see the effects and try to heal the City.

Though, his actions for a few days do not excuse years of hatred, bigotry, racism and plain evil corporate plans for New York that are now manifesting themselves in huge budget problems.
