Bitched a friend out for not registering to vote |
|
tonite---she had a baby out of wedlock last year but then married the father (they are in love and doing great) and she has way crazy fundie parents and used Medicaid as she had no insurance until she got married. Since the spring, I have been telling her to reg, our Gov is cutting Medicaid, explained to her how she was lucky she had it, told her she has to vote Dem. Talked to her tonite, she never registered. She doesn't want Bush, she knew I was pissed--and told her "you better reg asap for next time, explaining 2 years. Of course I do point out her wacko fundie parents are huge * lovers and she totally sees the hypocrisy---when her child was born they referreed to her as a "bastard". I guess I should have called her a few weeks ago before the deadline. I did call 2 former co-workers tonite to make sure they are voting-----and found out my old boss who voted for Gore last time is now voting for * because "he keeps us safe." Meanwhile, she has a troubled kid in Special Ed. The insanity!

That happened on Bush's watch.
Edit: Most on medicaid are not "lucky". They are hurting. Something to keep in mind.

7. So, does being "bitched out" ever make you change your mind, |
|
or improve your life?

9. Well, just so you know..... |
|
Being "bitched out" doesn't usually have good results for most people.
There are more productive ways to relate.
Kanary, who certainly wouldn't call someone a friend who "bitched her out"
