Here's part of a discussion I've been having on another board; note the last paragraph :
" Once again selective Liberal memory. Remember Pres Carter, turning his back on Iran when they were our allie and forced the Reagan Administration to choose who seemed to be the lesser of two evils at the time.
Also I love the liberal "Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story" mentality. Never mind the "UNILATERAL" action Iraq is mounted by a coalition of willing nations.
Kerry hopes to win by calling Bush a UNILATERAList. Well fact of the matter is that just because a few other nations wont join your cause dose not make you a unilateralist, if they are long time allies. But more importantly Unilateralism is NOT a crime! if it means acting in our own national interest regardless of the stance of other nations. It is our Duty to protect our country regardless of wheater other nations are willing to help us.
Democrats love finding new ways to use there new fav word Multilateralism, to convince America to play the foreign affairs game. A great way to have there cake and eat it too, they get to waffle and stall when it comes to national defence, while spinning there cowardice as a failure to achieve international consensus.
It is worse to set down and do nothing, and let a murdering tyrant kill his own people. Than go to war and fight for liberty. Liberty and Freedom is a God given right, that as the "biggest dog in the yard" it is our responsibility to send freedom through out the world. "
ALSO : It's hard to believe, but is he refering positively to the subversion of the U.S. Constitutional separation of powers in Iran-Contra-gate in the first paragraph? My reply was themed along the lines that there are no real Conservatives left anymore.
