Liberal Gun Owners - Check In !
I'm going to clean my gun, and buy more ammo this weekend.

What is the world coming to?

edit - For the record... I do not own a gun. I will never own a gun. The one and only time I shot a gun was my brother's pellet gun and I got a bird instead of the pear I was aiming at. I have refused to handle a gun ever since.

59. I don't hunt
I just like shooting guns...but I don't do it that often anymore because of all of the right-wing freakazoids at the shooting range.

I went hunting with my dad a few times when I was a kid, but we never shot at anything. We saw lots of animals that we COULD have shot, but we didn't see the point in it.

13. Check!
We have one. My partner and I have a gun in the house. I don't know if he knows how to use it, but I sure as hell do! Both my parents are marksmen. My mom is an ex-hunter and my dad is a retired Airborne-Ranger! His idea of "fun time" was teaching his four sons how to kill a person in under 5 seconds. :) He did it because he felt we all needed to know how to defend ourselves with deadly force, if needed. I am glad I have that knowledge!

I think it is funny that the right always think the left are all "hippies that throw flowers" types! We know how to fight and shoot...we just tend to be more intelligent, thus, we can talk out situations rather than shoot them out. But, know this, if it EVER came down to my life, or more importantly, the life of my partner or other immediate family, I would kill to protect them! No question!

Usually, though, I am quite peaceful! :)

14. No "real" guns
Do have a powder actuated tool (drives nails into concrete), and the machine tools to convert it if needed. (except for having to build something to rifle a barrell, I could build a pistol from scratch if I needed to)

Much more interesting, I am part owner/builder of a "full sized" ballista.

Its called "mista ballista" It weighs (including the custom trailer it is bolted to) 7,400 lb. It takes at least 3 to set up, but can be operated by one person. For the bowhunters, the design pull is 7,000 lb. (tho the best to date has been 3,700, we kept breaking the winding mechanism. Have a new system, should do a lot better).

For those in the Delaware area, we will be at the "punkin chunk" next weekend (nov 4-6).

17. A Liberal here, and packin' too!!
But the chances of me ever using a gun against another human being are roughly twice that of winning the Power Lotto in any given state or country.

Having said that....I have the utmost respect for my ancestors and their brethren who fought for the freedom of the citizens of the United States, and I will not allow their patriotic sacrifices to be dishonored, under any circumstances, by any subsequent conditions of rogue governance in the USA that seeks to deny the freedom they fought <and died> for.... Regardless of what it takes.

"First try the ballot box, then try the soap box, then crack out the ammo box."

I've already voted. It had better count.

41. Liberal giving serious thought to buying a gun checking in
While I've always supported the rights of sane, law abiding adults to own a reasonable number of firearms, I never before felt the need to own one myself. But with all these Freeps in Florida going absolutely over the edge (and they haven't even lost the election yet), I'm wondering if this is a preview of what Busheep nationwide will begin doing on Tuesday night when their hopes of a continued 4th reich are crushed.

Or the even darker alternative of the BCE arranging another terra attack and then declaring "temporary" martial law. :scared:

one good 30/06 hunting rifle for their household. A 12 gauge shotgun might be a good idea also. (I prefer a bow, because I hate loud noises, but getting good with a bow takes a lot of practice).

The reason for owning a firearm, of course, is because if Bu$h manages to steal the election, the economy will get so bad that we will all be forced to hunt for our food.

Hunting goes way, way, back in my family.
