What will Bush do when he loses?
I can't see him being in the spotlight at all. All other recent politicans have remained involved in politics in some way or another but I just can't see Bush doing it. He has never cared about politics, he cares about power. If his political cause doesn't bring him some personal physical reward he won't be interested. I just wish I could be there when Bush realizes that none of his inner circle actually like him. I think he will go back to Connecticut and live out his days drinking and beating up Laura.

24. He is gonna reap billions from the conflict of interest investments he
and his daddy are doing.

Don't be too haughty about it. He gets the last laugh. He's already done what he needed to do for himself personally.

31. rumor has it he was active in 70s in these activities
I heard he and a now-supposedly-saved Gatlin brother attended at least one gay orgy back in the day. True or false, who knows, but is it necessarily the first thing that springs to mind when one is trying to invent a rumor?

8. get another message from God

It's sort of sad, but his whole political/religious 'personality' emanates from a half a lifetime of covering up his epilepsy and manipulating people into not seeing it there.

He will go down as the John Bell Hood of his cause- willing to fight, able to see tactical opportunity, grasper at any and all advantages, fiery and prone to intrigue and bluff and lies, but logistically and strategically inferior throughout. Put to the test, not of enough stature or insight. Kerry is his Sherman- a better gambler, a strategic planner and trap artist, dispassionate, a delegator to generals who were tactically good, a man with acute insight on what needed to be done to win the war (rather than mere battles) and very rapid to follow through.

There is nothing for Bush to do that he wants to do- all he was ever good at was selfimportant speeches. Look at his old man- also an idler, really, who lives on the links. These are not people who will work for Habitat for Humanity, or be peace envoys, or UN Secretary General, or anything else. 'Public service', fat chance. They want their share of the loot from Halliburton or whoever else of their Dallas gang owes them and are going to hit the Jack Daniels hard and tip over some golf carts.

Makes them seem smarter and stronger than they actually are. It's cocaine hydrochloride, to be exact.

13. I'd like to see Bush and Cheney duke it out on Springer after they lose
Could be entertaining. Put them both in Travis Tritt t-shirts and ragged jeans, Bush could grow his hair out and get it cut in a mullet, and then let them knock each other around. I'd watch it.

14. He'll sell the farm & move into a gated community in Dallas....
Then get some figurehead positions on corporate boards to ensure an income. Play golf, go to Rangers' games. Summer in Kennebunkport.

Laura will begin spending more time away; she's got friends in Austin & will get involved in some kind of cause/charity as an excuse. The girls will visit occasionally--Austin's a cool town.

I guarantee you it will be hilarious - far-exceeding The Osbournes or the Paris Hilton tripe. I imagine it would be somewhat close to that Will Ferrell fake commercial.

23. lots of vacation time, lots of pardons
He will pardon his whole administration for any crimes they may have committed... effectively shutting down the Plame investigation & the Pentagon-Israel spying scandal. He will also pardon the top people from Enron.

The rest of the time, he will spend on vacation.

Maybe he'll sell the ranch, too, as he no longer needs it as a prop.

25. He’ll go back to doing the one thing he was good at…
He’ll go back to doing the one thing he was good at…

Being a front man for mega-corps conning public funds for private works.
He’ll hire some deluded speechwriter, go on speaking tours, talk with God, write a book (could you *Imagine* being that ghost writer?) and take diction lessons to command better speaking fees.
He’ll invoke 9/11 like he’s some savior like Rudy G. If he’s still got a 45% or so approval rating (who are these people?), the saps will pay him to speak.
I agree that he loves power (now let me FINISH) but he doesn’t even know that he’s never really had any, they’ve just let him think so. All of his ‘friends’, except the total has-been groupie losers, will leave. He’ll be so lost, and if I cared it would be hilarious.
He’s also gonna look sooooo confused when he gets his first subpoena. (Laura? What does this say?)

Can he pardon people who haven’t been convicted yet?

Damn, I hope someone sends him a case of scotch.

As for coming back to CT, he left for Texas when he was 2, and we ain’t takin’ him back. Ha! He’s yours now!
:P
