Pentagon Priority Was Given to Iraq Weapons Caches Identified by Chalabi
Via Digby:

Al Qaqaa was on a classified list of Iraqi weapons facilities that the CIA provided to Pentagon and military officials before the invasion, said the U.S. intelligence official.

But when the Pentagon and U.S. Central Command produced their own list of sites that a limited number of U.S. "exploitation teams" should search, priority was given to those identified by exiled Iraqi opposition groups, he said. Al Qaqaa wasn't one of them.

1. It's on the internets
There they go, looking at the wrong internets again.

These were not classified locations. These were IAEA identified locations and the reports have been online for years. This is total and complete bull. This Administration knew what the IAEA was doing, we've been in there since 1991 for chrissake. It's maniacal for anybody to say otherwise.

2. Do you suppose...
Chalabi made off with the explosives and they're now in Iran? We know this administration ignored our traditional intelligence and used Chalabi's instead. This is yet one more example of that.

4. They were LOOTED
Good god, we all watched the looting on television. There's report after report from military people about all sorts of ammo dumps being looted. They are using the "Chalabi duped" us line again and it's complete bullshit. There isn't one piece of intelligence to dispute the WMD stories that wasn't available BEFORE the invasion. Just as the materials and locations of IAEA sites were available BEFORE the invasion. Chalabi probably didn't help, but he is not the reason this Administration had "faulty" intelligence.
