DU TRUTH ZONE: Post your Kerry Bin Laden quotes HERE!!!
Edited on Fri Oct-29-04 03:37 PM by BUSHOUT
How many more times has Kerry mentioned Bin Laden than Bush?
Like....a thousand maybe?

Remember the ad spot with Bush saying "Frankly I'm not all that concerned about him"??

Post your Kerry quotes about Bin laden here!

Here's a recent one:

His mistakes and misjudgments have hurt our troops, driven away allies, diverted our focus from Osama bin Laden and the real war on terror.

1. From October 1st debate.....complete with BUshism!
Bush:
Of course we're after Saddam Hussein -- I mean bin Laden.
He's isolated.

Kerry:
But that doesn't mean it wasn't a mistake of judgment to go there and take the focus off of Osama bin Laden. It was.

3. GREAT! From October 26 Kerry camp press release:
-- The Rush To War In Iraq Took The Pressure Off Of Bin Laden and Al Qaeda. In 2002, troops from the 5th Special Forces Group who specialize in the Middle East were pulled out of the hunt for Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan to prepare for their next assignment: Iraq. A recent Washington Post story also found that "Task Force 5 -- a covert commando team that led the hunt for bin Laden and his lieutenants in the border region -- lost more than two-thirds of its fighting strength" to Iraq. The CIA, meanwhile, was stretched badly in its capacity to collect, translate and analyze information coming from Afghanistan. US Intelligence officials said that as much as half of the intelligence and special forces assets in Afghanistan and Pakistan were diverted to support the war in Iraq. 1/8USA Today, 3/29/04; Knight Ridder, 9/5/03; Washington Post, 10/22/04 3/8

5. I think Kerry was expecting a Bin Laden surprise.
That's why he kept mentioning Bin Laden and the failure to capture him. It makes Kerry look like the one with the eye on the ball, and Bush like a craven opportunist or an idiot.

Unfortunately, there are some who will instinctively hide behind Bush, believing the caricature of Kerry created by the right. But a few will realize Osama is not Saddam, and come over. Others will realize Bush is making us less safe, and come over as well. I think it's still a net plus for Kerry.

6. Absolutely...Kerry has hammered Bush over Bin Laden, and repeated over and
over that he would track down and kill the terrorists.
Some more "progressive" people here don't like that kind of talk, but it's neccessary to say it and do it.

10. From the Sept. 30th debate:
And smart means not diverting your attention from the real war on terror in Afghanistan against Osama bin Laden and taking if off to Iraq
