Television propaganda and Halliburton |
|
Halliburton has these T.V. commercials that look like something strait out of Nazi Germany's Propaganda Ministry and Dr. Goebbels' 'Volksgemeinschaft'(National Identity Movement)I swear, it is scary. Halliburton's "colors" are red and white and the resemblance to Nazi Germany's flag is astounding. The Halliburton commercial on Fahrenheit 9/11 had these guys scrambling around an oil well with little red jumpsuits and all their trucks are red. Looking at these images it dawned on me. Why would a huge multinational be showing commercials in the United States to the common American citizen? When was the last time you needed the services of a company that "adds value through the entire lifecycle of oil and gas reservoirs and provides and integrates products and services, starting with exploration and development, moving through production, operations, maintenance, conversion and refining, to infrastructure and abandonment."? I know that they are trying to give themselves a positive corporate image, but I think it goes way beyond that.

Haven't seen one recently, I am in Hawaii. They are also playing the hell out of this one commercial for the "National Coal Council" with an eagle that talks with a Brooklyn accent. I see that one at least three times a day.
