Bought and paid for.

23. Same age ... and in the same places at the same times.
He's six months younger than I. In 1962-63, when he was at Yale (in New Haven, CT), I was at the USCGA (in New London, CT), about 50 miles away. In early 1969, when he was in the Mekong Delta in Vietnam, I was at Long Binh Post in Vietnam, maybe 100 miles away. In 1971, when he was at the Winter Soldier Investigation at the Howard Johnson Hotel on Grand Blvd. in Detroit, I was working at Chevrolet Central Office less than a half mile away.

Oh ... and the picture of him sailing with President Kennedy? Well, I sailed on that same sailboat (the 'Petrel,' I believe). (It's one that the Coast Guard Academy loaned to President Kennedy.)

 Small world.

25. many things. we both believe environmental toxins cause cancer, asthma etc
they are at least a considerable factor. but there are those who are healthier and those more vulnerable who contract disease while others do not

im living proof of mercury amalgams causing illness and im really happy to hear our next president talk truth about this.

in fact thats how i first really heard about kerry. i had heard of him before but not to any degree since i was too young during vietnam era. so it was his involvement with fighting back the repoublicans about the drilling for oil in the arctic national widlife refuge.

he also believes in and wants to have alternative energy

he is going to be fantastic.

26. Quite a few things...
Both raised in military families, both raised in Catholic families (though I'm not now a Catholic), both lived in Germany as kids, we shared the same set of initials at one time, and his sister was born at Wright-Patterson AFB where I lived for some years. Okay, that last one is a bit tenuous....

37. Go back far enough, and everyone is related...
I also share a common ancestor with Kerry...about 25 generations back...and the same individual is ALSO in the ancestry of George Bush, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Franklin and Theodore Roosevelt, John Quincy Adams, and Humphrety Bogart, among a lot of other people. (although out of that group of distant cousins Bush is the one I'm least happy about being related to.)
