8. Long time lurker , new poster, thanks for the welcome!.

I just have started to post, I have to work on how to express my thoughts. I am so afraid to word something wrong and be mistaken for an enemy so I limit myself on posts. I just love this place and I am so happy to see so many intelligent people gathered to help the truth be known. I have always voted on suggested polls and helped with the letters about Sinclair, it gave me such a good feeling. Thanks to all the old time DUers for all the wonderful work!

... we're just short of 55,000 registered members now--I believe that is around 10,000 more than were here a year ago. Having been an activist through 2 wars (Vietnam and Gulf) as well as Central America issues in the 1980s-early 90s, I will always remember the fantastic drawing-together and sense of community each of those tragic experiments in US foreign policy did create and perpetuate. This internet community is equally vivid and gratifying; I just wish I could meet everybody personally.

However, I have a question that I haven't forgotten since I read it here in a thread, and that was--Someone posted that there are freeper members on this forum and they would "reveal" themselves on election night. Can anyone guess the approximate number of those freepers? I sincerely HOPE that the freeper members have truly had their eyes opened and realize what the thugs have done to this country and its citizens, not to mention the numbers of people killed because of them.
