God Forbid - But If We Lose...
Do you plan to:

1. Revolt - Civil War
2. Move To Another County - If So, Which?
3. Change To A "3rd" party
4. Nothing

We went ahead and paid for it, and if Bush is reelected, we plan to move out into the country and get as independent of "things" as we can. We have friends who are thinking of moving to Germany. This is so awful!

The federal government is the only thing stopping all out fascist control of the red states. These people don't believe in democracy. Many red states would turn in to theocratic fascist dictatorships. And once they gain complete control (along with nukes) they'll start looking at the blue regions...

8. thought about it
If they stole the election again, I would stay and fight.

But if it turned out the true majority wanted BushCo, I would seek refuge in Canada, Sweden or Norway. Not a snowball's chance that is the case, though.

But that's NOT going to happen. Kerry's going to win because we are continuing to work hard and see to it.

I intend to keep fighting the good fight. In my opinion, there is a very real possibility that bush will remain as President. 17. The impeachment will proceed, and he will be out by Aug 2006.
There are many career government officials who will be more than happy to supply an endless stream of the misdeeds of Monkey, but who were too afraid in the first term. When they see their own careers and everything they worked for being threatened by a full bore push to complete a Fundamentalist/Theocracy/Robber Barron government, the dam will not hold.

Leaks, leaks everywhere. Look for him to be scampering to a helicopter in the summer of 2006.

63. I agree
Remember, Nixon resigned during his second term, and Bush has pissed off a lot more people than Nixon, and a lot of them are in the State Department, CIA, and Pentagon. I think this, combined with the growing rift in the republican party between the christian extreme right and the conservative-libertarian wing could get enough votes in the house for impeachment. Just my $.02, for what it's worth.

29. It may be a win-win situation in the long run....
If Bush stays in office his continuing foreign policy is likely to fail miserably, America will become even more ostracized in the world, and America will become even more divided than ever before. In the long run, this could irreparably harm the Republican party for decades to come. Bush can step down now and leave the office in peace, or, if he stays in office, will have to face charges of international war crimes and, probably, impeachment.

33. Secretly, I wonder if this scenario will make leftists even stronger
Bush winning a second time will all but guarantee that there will be grassroots mobilization. We could actually see the beginnings of the first mass opposition movement since the 1960s. With that many people in the streets, we could apply sufficient pressure not only upon Republicans but also Democrats who have become too cozy with corporate/special interests.

48. I believe Kerry will win, but I will still fight.

Even tho Kerry will be the president, there is no way in hell that he can make the changes that need to be made as long as the congress is in the hands of their Corporate Masters.

There are several things that must be done and I think the most important are to reinstate the fairness doctrine and to take the profit out of politics, IOW to make campiagn financing completely from public funds. Make giving money to any politician a 1st class felony.

Joe Tripey on Moyers show last night talked about fighting to take the democrat party out of the hands of the power structure and make it responsive to the people once again, and if that doesnt work start a third party of the people. I agree and will fight with him.

56. Welllllllll...............
1. If the vote is blatantly stolen, there will be huge economic repurcussions and Chimpy's Masters will not let that happen. If the vote is surreptiously (Freeps, look it up) stolen, I believe that economic boycotts and slowdowns are in order. This country is fueled by money, it's our true National Religion, and it's our saving grace. We already have a Civil War of sorts anyway and it will screw up the Republicans. If the Chimp wins fair and square (although it may already be too late for that to some folks) then I will think about.....

2. Moving to the UK or Australia or New Zealand.

3. Win or lose, the Republicans are due for a schism. The Religious Fanatics will demand real action on their agenda, not just words. The Libertarian and moderate wings of the Republicans will fight this tooth and nail. I am tempted to join the Republicans in this scenario because my most despised enemies are fundies and I would relish nothing more than turning them into the Reform Party of the 21st Century, big enough to whack Republicans, but not big enough to win a single seat in Congress.

4. Ha, we had better not do nothing.
