Osama bin Laden is an UNGRATEFUL WRETCH!
I mean, I read two or three different transcripts of the tape as well as watching on the air to check his facial expressions against the words of the translators. Not ONE WORD of thanks to President Bush!

After all LOOK what we have done for this guy:

The Bush administration in 2000 had given money to al Qaida to help prevent them growing opium. Have they THANKED US? No!

President Bush pulled the CIA OFF the trail of bin Laden when they were investigating him, before 9/11. Did he thank Bush? NO!

The Clinton administration had been after bin Laden and Bush re-assigned people who had been working on that case. Did bin Laden thank him? NO!

During 9/11 Bush sat idly while the planes "butted the buildings". He acknowledged the tripled timeframe which allowed them to succeed, but did bin Laden THANK Bush for his efforts to ensure al Qaida's success? NO!

After 9/11 Bush FLEW members of bin Laden's family to SAFETY in the Middle East! Did bin Laden thank him for that kindness? NO!

Bush continues to support the Saudis who funded the terrorists. Has bin Laden thanked him for that? NO!

When bin Laden was running for his life, hiding in Afghanistan, trying not to get himself killed, Bush held American troops BACK and allowed him to escape from Tora Bora. Did bin Laden thank Bush for giving him that space of time in which to get away? NO!

When bin Laden's forces could have been utterly crushed in Afghanistan, Bush diverted his efforts to Iraq, allowing al Qaida to regroup and become strong again. Did bin Laden thank him for this? NO!

After vowing he would not rest until bin Laden was killed or captured, Bush later commented that he no longer worried about capturing bin Laden. Has bin Laden thanked Bush for this consideration?! NO!

OSAMA BIN LADEN IS AN UNGRATFUL BENEFICIARY OF THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION!

After ALL the things President George W. Bush has DONE for him, both before and after bin Laden lost 19 of his own people, Osama has not uttered one WORD of appreciation!

It's time to vote for Kerry who will put this ungrateful beneficiary in his place!

How sharper than a serpent's tooth is the tongue of an ungrateful murdering bastard son of the CIA!

Feel free to circulate this and add other things we've done for ObL!

1. My theory
I think the reason OBL did this is for OBL. He's not trying to influence the election, because I don't think he cares either way -
I think he is doing this so that he can make it look like he influenced the elections and so tell his supporters that he influenced the election - he, too, can spin this either way.

5. You're right that Bin Laden doesn't care who wins the election.
But let's not forget that the whole world saw the videotape. Not just americans. His message was meant for the whole world. He used our elections to be heard worldwide.

He basically said, if you leave us alone, we will leave you alone. I suspect that most of the world would see that as a reasonable deal.

He is trying to seize the highground in world opinion.

7. You're right
I agree with the essence of what you wrote. That's sort of my point. While I didn't say that this makes him look more reasonable and justified to the rest of the world, I agree that that is his intent, too.

My point is that he is far more concerned with world opinion than with our opinion. If he can make it look like his speech influenced the outcome of the election, it can make him look much more powerful both to his supporters and opponents.

However, I don't agree that "if you leave us alone, we leave you alone" actually is reasonable,or that most of the world sees that as a reasonable deal, because he did, in fact, kill 3000 innocent people and most of the rest of the world supported us after that fact. The fact is, he is a mass murderer, period and needs to be behind bars.

3. whaaaat?
Are you sure they gave money to Al Qaida in 2000? I thought they gave it to the Taliban.

If I'm right about this, looks like some of the bushwashing has gotten you!

6. It's there. Just use your Nader decoder and you'll see it:
" Don't vote, no difference, same outcome"
