How weird is this?...NPR prog on now, reporter tags along with canvasser |
|
in Columbus, OH...talked to a 76 year old lady who seems honestly claiming she will write in "ZZ Top" for prez. She hates Chimp for the Iraq war and hates Kerry on the abortion issue. Now I have to pound my head on the desk for a few minutes. :grr:

I mailed her a copy of F 9/11 last week. She said she would watch it. Please send prayers her way, that her eyes may be opened to the truth!

3. I am SICK and TIRED of NPR pulling this shit |

...to fill time. Who the hell cares who person-on-the-street will vote for? Their opinion is not news. If I wanted to find out who people were voting for, I'd ask them. Asking them to spout their misguided opinions just reinforces the echo chamber. "Kerry is yucky on abortion!" Instead of REPORTING on Kerry's abortion position, we get to listen to what Mrs. Vote ZZ Top has to say about Kerry's abortion position.
THIS IS NOT NEWS! ARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHH!

4. Don't hate NPR for this. |

There are a LOT of people out there who don't want either of these candidates.
IMO, it works for Kerry, as most of thise type of undecideds are people who would normally vote Republican, but hate what Bush has done in office.
I think what happens is that when they realize they can't vote for Bush, they realize that Kerry is their next choice. But they've always been told, and believe, that Democrats are evil incarnate. So they grasp at some reason, any reason, to not vote for Kerry either.
Nevertheless, it's one less Bush vote cast.
This is one year a Libertarian could really make some headway. Where are the Libertarians?
